Organization of the Directorate

Chief Officer of the directorate is “Director Academics” who normally is one of the most senior officials of the Institute. The director is by the staff for day to day working of the directorate and for implementing policies framed by the statutory/administrative bodies of the Institute.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azim was appointed as the first Director Academics. He has previously worked at a number of positions; such as Chairman, Department of Mathematical Sciences, Chairman, Department of Physics, Provost, Controller of Examinations and Founder Director of CIIT Attock Campus.

The Directorate of Academics is performing some specific functions on the academic front; these include, convening of meetings of various bodies as listed below, recording the minutes of these meetings and presenting them to the higher forum, preparing undergraduate prospectus, preparing and printing the course catalogs of the departments, and interpreting and implementing the academic policy decisions.
