CIIT Celebrated World Book Day 2009

COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Library Information Services celebrated World Book Day on 23rd April 2009. A two days Library Mounted Book Exhibition was arranged in the library on 23 & 24 April 2009 from 0900 to 2200 hours. A good number of books, which have been recently purchased during the book exhibition on the subject areas; Architecture & Designing, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecom Engineering, Nanotechnology, Meteorology, Mathematics, Physics and Leisure Reading were on display for the faculty, staff and students.

The main aim of World Book Day celebrations was to encourage teaching staff and students to explore the pleasures of books and reading by providing them with an opportunity to have a good number of new books on display in the library.

Book Exhibition was inaugurated by the Director Academic, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Azim at 11.00 am on Thursday 23 April 2009.

CIIT's Advisors, Consultants, Deans, Heads, Chairmen, Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and other teaching staff appreciated this proactive activity very much, shown a great interest, witnessed this book exhibition and borrowed books of their subject areas for reading.
