The student will be expected to make a strong contribution to research in the department, working with established researchers on topics close to their own. Examples of relevant research groups and interests within the department include:

Applicants should hold, or expect to have attained, a masters degree (distinction or merit) by the time the studentship commences. We are particularly interested in applicants with significant design experience or experience in academia, with a good track record of design in professional or research contexts, and/or a track record of research and publication. As part of the studentship, the successful candidate will be expected to carry out light teaching and/or administrative duties, normally in years 2 and 3.
