French Embassy delegation to Wah campus
A two member delegation comprising Dr. Olivier BERGOSSI, Higher Education &
Scientific Attache, specialist in near-field optics and nanotechnologies, industrial
ecology and sustainable development and Ms. Sandie FAVIER, Attache for Science and
Technology, specialist in propellant for space application, high energetic materials
and industrial safety, French Embassy in Pakistan visited
COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Wah Campus on 12th November 2008 in the company of Dr. Abdul
Aziz Khan, Advisor ILO.
The main purpose of the visit was to highlight the role of International Liaison
Office. Advisor IL, gave the presentation about ILO, and introduced the delegates
to the senior
and junior faculty members of CIIT Wah Campus. Ms. Sandie FAVIER expressed
her views in which she encouraged the mutual interest of cooperation and collaboration
in the fields of research and higher education. The distinguished
visitors visited
the campus, labs and lecture rooms. Dr. Asmatullah, gave an in-depth briefing on the latest developments
in the area of wireless technology and other cutting edge spheres to bring CIIT as
a front line player in the region.
Dr. Asmatullah extended a formal invitation to the French delegates to participate
in two days Frontiers of Information Technology (FIT) workshop.
The French delegates invited the Advisor ILO to share CIIT experiences of implementing
existing MOU with various universities and help cementing academic and research
collaboration between CIIT and French Universities. |
